Terms & Conditions – Chirinkito

Welcome to Chirinkito. These Terms and Conditions outline the terms under which Chirinkito, trading also as Tattooland Canarias («we,» «us,» or «our»), provides tattoo and piercing services to our clients («you» or «your»). By booking an appointment or purchasing any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

  1. Eligibility
  • Clients Aged 18 and Over:
    • Clients must be at least 18 years old to receive treatments without parental consent.
  • Clients Under 18:
    • Clients under the age of 18 may receive treatments only under the following conditions:
      • Presence of a parent or legal guardian during the initial consultation.
      • Valid identification (ID) for both the client and the parent or guardian.
      • Documentation proving the relationship between the client and the parent or guardian, such as a birth certificate.
  • We reserve the right to refuse treatment to any person if deemed unsuitable or unsafe.
  1. Appointments

4.1. Booking Appointments

  • Appointments can be booked in person, by phone, social media or via our website.
  • A deposit is required to secure an appointment, except under certain circumstances such as private agreement between the parties.

4.2. Appointment Confirmation

  • We will confirm your appointment with an appointment card, via email or text message, including the date, time, location and service.

4.3. Arrival Time

  • Please be at the shop by the time of your scheduled appointment.
  • Late arrivals may result in a longer waiting time or rescheduling.

4.4. Late Arrivals

  • If you are late for your appointment:
    • Up to 30 Minutes Late: We will make every effort to accommodate you, but your treatment time may be changed accordingly.
    • More Than 30 Minutes Late: Your appointment may need to be rescheduled, and may be considered a missed appointment.
  1. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

5.1. Notice Requirements

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

5.2. Missed Appointments

  • Failure to provide the required notice or failure to attend your appointment will be considered a missed appointment.

5.3. Repeat Missed Appointments

  • If you miss more than one appointment, the following applies:
    • Deposit Requirement:
      • You will be required to pay a non refundable deposit equivalent to the full cost of your treatment.
  • Deposit Forfeiture:
    • The deposit will be forfeited if you miss appointments without the required notice.
    • A new deposit will be required to rebook after forfeiture.
  • Deposit Refund:
    • The deposit will be deducted from the final payment upon completion of your treatments. A full refund of the deposit will be provided if the appointment is cancelled with the required notice and no further work has been undertaken (designing, materials,etc.).
  1. Payment Terms

6.1. Payment Methods

  • We accept payment by cash, debit cards, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express).
  • All treatments must be paid for in full at the time of completion of the service.

6.2. Refunds

  • Once treatment has begun, refunds are no longer available if not under exceptional circumstances.
  • No administrative fees apply to refunds.
  • Refunds will be processed within 28 working days of approval.
  1. Vouchers and Validity

7.1. Validity Period

  • Vouchers expiry dates are agreed at time of purchase.
  • To extend your vouchers you must contact us before the expiry date.
  • Any voucher expired for more than 15 days will be forfeited.

7.2. Non-Transferable, Non-Refundable

  • Vouchers are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  1. Tattoo and piercing services

8.1. Description

  • Our tattoo and piercing services offer design, placement and application of the agreed tattoo(s)and/or piercing(s).
  • Treatments are conducted by professional practitioners and following official health and safety guidelines.

8.2. Conditions

  • The price and conditions are valid only for the original agreed treatment(s) specified at the time of booking/purchase.
  • To maintain validity, you must adhere to treatment schedules and conditions.
  1. Client Responsibilities

9.1. Preparation for Treatment

  • Treatment Area:
    • Ensure the area to be treated is clean and free from any products.
  • Shaving:
    • If applicable, shave the treatment area prior to your appointment.
  • Sun Exposure:
    • General Rule:
      • Sun exposure (natural or artificial) in the tattoo area should be limited as much as possible prior of your treatment and sun blocker should be used.
        • After Treatment:
          • Avoid sun exposure on the treated area for a minimum of 2 weeks post-treatment to prevent complications.
  • Avoid Topicals: Do not apply any creams, lotions, or makeup to the treatment area on the day of treatment.

9.2. Aftercare

  • Follow all aftercare instructions provided by our specialists.
  • Failure to adhere to aftercare guidelines may affect treatment outcomes and safety.

9.3. Medical Disclosure

  • You must disclose all relevant medical history, conditions, and medications during consultation and update us of any changes before each treatment.
  • If you develop any medical condition during the course of treatment, inform us immediately.

9.4. Under the Influence

  • Treatment may be refused if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Such instances will be treated as a missed appointment.

9.5. Children and Pets

  • Children are not permitted in treatment areas for safety reasons.
  • If you bring children to the appointment, they must be supervised by another adult in the waiting area.
  • Pets are not allowed on the premises, except for registered service animals.
  1. Treatment Suitability
  • All clients must undergo a consultation to assess suitability for treatments.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if deemed unsuitable or unsafe.
  • In such cases, you will only be liable for the cost of the initial consultation, designing and opened materials.
  1. Cancellation by Us
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • In the event we need to cancel, we will provide as much notice as possible and reschedule at a mutually convenient time.
  • If we cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, and cannot reschedule within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to a refund.
  1. Liability and Insurance

12.1. Limitation of Liability

  • We carry professional liability insurance appropriate for our services.
  • Our liability to you is limited to the value of the treatments provided.
  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, profits, or data.

12.2. Client Responsibility

  • You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information.
  • We will not be liable for adverse outcomes resulting from your failure to disclose necessary information.
  1. Privacy and Data Protection
  • We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulations.
  • Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
  • You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • All content, images, logos, and materials provided by us are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any of our materials without our prior written consent.
  1. Complaints and Feedback

15.1. Procedure

  • We value your feedback and aim to resolve any issues promptly.

  • We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 7 working days.

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country where our center is located.
  • Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the location country.

  • We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

  • Continued use of our services signifies your acceptance of any changes.
